Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Halal Kitchen Atlas ("the site", "we", "us"), operated by Halal Kitchen Atlas from Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. By accessing or using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who can use the site

You may use the site if you are at least thirteen years old and can form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Your account and submissions

Some features (such as premium subscriptions, when available) may require an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

When you submit content to us — a correction, a comment, a message through the contact form, or a recipe suggestion — you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit, and publish that content in connection with the site, with appropriate credit where you have asked to be credited.

Content ownership

All recipes, articles, photographs, illustrations, logos, and other content on the site are owned by Halal Kitchen Atlas or by our contributors (photographers, cultural reviewers, Islamic content reviewers) and are licensed to us. All rights are reserved except as expressly permitted below.

Your use of our content

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the site for personal, non-commercial use.

You may not, without our prior written permission:

• Reproduce, republish, or redistribute our content on another website, in a mobile app, or in a printed publication.
• Scrape, crawl, or extract our recipes or content in bulk.
• Use our content to train machine-learning models, large language models, or any similar automated systems.
• Frame or mirror the site.
• Remove or alter any credit lines, byline, cultural reviewer credit, or copyright notice.

Personal recipe use

You are welcome to cook our recipes at home, print them for personal kitchen use, share a link to a recipe with friends and family, share a photo of a dish you cooked on your own social media (with a link back to the recipe is appreciated), and adapt recipes for your own personal cooking.

You are not permitted, without written permission, to repost the full text of a recipe on another website or social media, publish our recipes in a cookbook you sell, or use our recipes as content for a commercial food product or service.

Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the site in a way that violates any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, servers, or user accounts.
• Submit false, misleading, or hateful content.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Interfere with other users' use of the site.
• Use the site to send spam or unsolicited commercial communications.

Halal, nutrition, and medical disclaimers

No warranties

The site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the site, including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Halal Kitchen Atlas, our team, contributors, and reviewers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or damages resulting from reliance on any content published on the site.

Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from your use of the site is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or one hundred United States dollars, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Halal Kitchen Atlas, our team, contributors, and reviewers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the site, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

Third-party links and content

The site includes links to third-party websites and services (affiliate links to product retailers, links to certification bodies, embedded YouTube videos, and others). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties. Follow such links at your own risk.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the site will be resolved in the courts of Rawalpindi, Pakistan, except where you have mandatory rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence under applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always posted here with the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be announced to newsletter subscribers by email. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
